Kiteboarding Lessons

Lessons are scheduled according to wind conditions. Lesson packages of three or more hours can be broken up based on weather, the student’s stamina, schedule etc.

Unless the student wishes to use her or his own gear, the lesson fees include equipment rental: kite, harness, board, impact vest, helmet, wetsuit and radio. We teach on Ozone kites, Litewave twintip boards and Moses gear for hydrofoiling.

Most of our lessons take place at the Belmont Shore Kite Beach in Long Beach, where there is ample space, parking, access to restrooms and fresh water.

Our teaching philosophy: We spend extra time on acquiring excellent kite-flying skills before going into the water, so that students will have better kite control while learning to body-drag and water-start and will become self-sufficient sooner overall.

Lessons are to be paid at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled beginning time in order to reserve your time slot. In case of lack of wind, lessons will be rescheduled. Cancellation less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson or no-show results in forfeiting the lesson fee (if not a documented medical emergency).

* Should you take individual or group lessons? We generally recommend individual lessons since everyone learns at a different speed and we can tailor the lesson plan more accurately to your individual needs.
